![]() ![]() ![]() grippy strip(forget what it's called, with teeth) and be pretty firm to stay on well enough. ^I have used Epic shells(what you're calling 'regular' Easyboots). I really don't ride over that amount a week anyway. They say there is about a 20 or 25 mile a week limit due to possible rubbing, but I have not personally had a problem with it. It's worth it not to have to deal with cables, hoof-picks and mallets. I just improvised some thin leather with velcro to keep the rocks out and that works great for me. ![]() ![]() So easy to get on and off! But they do get a little gravel in them without the sock-like apparatus they want you to buy with them. But I got tired of using a mallet to get them on (2's are apparently a little small, 3's too large for my mare). Those type aren't even available anymore, I found them used at a swapmeet.ĭon't worry about the "gaiters" on the easyboot epics rubbing. I ended up trimming the rubber down with scissors. I've tried some of the old, old easyboots (where the rubber goes over the hoof bulbs) and they were so hard to get off, I swear I was going to have to cut them off each time I used them. In those cases please refer to the Easyboot Transition.I've been afraid to try plain old Easyboots because I wouldn't want to loose a $50 boot. has an abscess and while lame still runs around or is likely to run around once the abscess has burst or runs as soon as he has boots on. We also do not recommend this boot if the horse is well enough to run around, e.g. Its main purpose is to assist with laminitic horses to get them to move again. Please note: This boot is not intended for riding. This boot is great to help mobilise horses who suffer from the above ailments and struggle to move around. It provides support and relief for horses suffering from chronic lameness, laminitis, founder, navicular and other lower limb/hoof problems. Veterinarians, hoof care professionals and horse owners alike rely on the Easyboot Rx to help horses heal and recover quickly. ![]()
